Notes - Came to New Zealand as an assisted immigrant aboard S S Tararua in 1881. Little is known about Arthur, except that he supposedly became an alcoholic. An affectionate letter to his niece, Joan WARD, daughter of WD and Ethel Humphrys, was written from State Hospital, Lidcombe, which was probably in Melbourne.
